WHY HELLO THERE!

NICE TO MEET YOU
I grew up in Columbia, Missouri, and attended Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri for my undergraduate degree. I went on to complete my master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology at Fontbonne University in St. Louis, with a focus on working with children with hearing loss.
After graduating, I moved to the Des Moines area, where I spent seven years as a full-time SLP in an outpatient pediatric clinic. In 2014, I began dabbling teletherapy. Before long, I found myself spending more and more time online and less time “on the ground” as an in-person SLP.
My first passion in the field is serving children with hearing loss that utilize cochlear implants and/or hearing aids. In 2017, I became the first Certified Auditory Verbal Therapist (AVT) in Iowa.
These days, I also love helping other SLPs figure out how to use technology in their sessions. I create no-prep, no-print resources that make therapy easier (and a lot more fun), especially for teletherapy, older students, and working with kids with hearing loss.
