How to Save Time and Money during a TpT Sale
Site-wide sales on Teachers Pay Teachers don't happen often, so when they do, it's game on for saving money on what you need to make your life easier. And since these sales only last a day or two, there's no time to dilly-dally– teachers and SLPs need quick and easy ways to get deals!
Tips to SAVE MONEY💰 during a TpT Sale

1. Shop for bundles
Look for bundles of similar resources that you'll likely use all or most of. Bundles are normally discounted, and most of the time they're discounted even more during a site-wide sale! You can easily see if a resource that you're eyeing is included in a bundle by looking toward the bottom of the listing page.
***Quick tip (which I have benefited from many times as a buyer!) if you've already purchased a resource and want to buy the bundle it's included in– TpT's refund policy states that you can be refunded for a duplicate purchase within the same year! Basically, if you purchase a resource twice (once by itself and once in a bundle), TpT will refund you for the individual resource if you've purchased within the last year. You just have to fill out this form!

2. Leave Feedback
By rating and reviewing your previous purchases on TpT, you'll earn money toward your next purchase. Spending that money during a sale makes your savings even greater! Once you've used a resource you can leave feedback. To do so, log in to your TpT account, click your name in the top right, and then click "My Purchases". For each resource, click on the button that says "Leave a Review". Those credits really add up... especially if you've never left reviews before! For more information, check out this article.
3. Use the promo code
It's the most obvious, but I definitely fall into the group of people that has lost the extra discount (of 5%) by forgetting to use the promo code during a site-wide sale.... on more than one occasion 🙋♀️ If you don't know the code, just look on the TpT website. There's usually a banner at the top that tells what the promo code is for the sale.
Tips to SAVE TIME⏰ during a TpT Sale

1. Shop Your Wish List
Check your wish list for resources that you may have previously bookmarked to buy at a later time. There may also be some gems that you have forgotten about! To see your wish list, click on your name in the top right-hand corner, then click "My Wish List". Check out the screenshot here to help guide you!
2. Use Store Categories
Your go-to creators on TpT have likely organized their stores in a way to help finding what you need easier! Use a store's custom categories to quickly navigate to activities for a specific goal, format, theme, etc. When viewing the site on a computer, look on the left-hand side of the store, and when using the TpT mobile app, tap "Categories" near the top of a store.

Please note that while you can add items to your wish list from the TpT app, you cannot make any purchases..... you'll need to be on a browser to do that part!

3. Filter Your Search
Looking for the perfect activity on TpT can feel overwhelming, tedious, and time-consuming, to say the least! For example, a search for "Christmas Boom Cards" yields over 8,700 results, and no SLP or teacher has time to sift through all that! So, when browsing the entire TpT site, use the search filters (on the left-hand side) to narrow your search by grade level, price, format, etc.
Site-wide sales on TpT are such a great time to get what you need at a discount! But teachers and therapists don't have endless time to find everything they need, or an endless budget to buy it all either! Use these tips to get the most for your time and money during the next site-wide sale. Have another way? Leave a comment below and let us know!
